Tana passing Mahajanga to Diego - road tour - Madagascar - for 10 Days

Day 1: Tana

Arriving at Ivato international airport and meet Ortour representative for transfer to Aina/Anjary Hotel (midrange) or at Palissandre (top) for overnight

Day 2: Tana - Ampijoroa

Leave Tana in the morning and drive to Ankarafantsika. Ankarafantsika is situated in the west part of Tana. It is home to many endemic species of fauna and flora. It is a very excellent place for birders because there are lots of bird species in the area such as Madagascar fish eagle, Reed cormorant, African darter, Sickle billed Vanga and lot more. Stay in a Bungalow (high midrange)

Day 3: Ampijoroa

In the morning, walk in the main heart of the Park to see lemurs, birds, reptiles, and so on. Back to the Bungalow for overnight.

Day 4: Ampijoroa - Mahajanga

Leave Ampijoroa and take an early drive toward the capital of the western part of the island known as Majunga. Majunga is symbolized as the nation's heart place of the giant Baobab. Stay at Mada Hotel (midrange), or La piscine Hotel (top)

Day 5: Mahajanga

In the morning, drive to visit the surrounding remote area of the city and then walk to the cirque rouge; in the afternoon, walk to the Grotte of Anjohibe. Drive back to the main city for overnight at Mada Hotel (midrange) or La piscine hotel (top)

Day 6: Mahajanga - Diego

Diego is the capital of the northern tip of Madagascar. Take a flight to get there and transfer to Hotel Moramora for overnight (midrange) or Grand hotel (top).

Day 7: Diego - Montagne d'ambre

Morning drive to the northern tip of Montagne d'Ambre national park. Mild walk in the forest to see beautiful orchids, birds, lemurs, invertebrates, reptiles including the tiniest chameleon known as the Brookesia minima
Overnight at the Monastère (midrange)
Note that for the luxury option, drive back to Diégo at Grand hotel(top)

Day 8: Montagne d'Ambre - Ankarana

In the morning, leave Montagne d'Ambre and drive to Ankarana Reserve. Ankarana is home to many species of lemurs such as the crowned lemurs, Sanford's brown lemurs and different species of birds. Also, it is mostly known for its limestone pinnacles or the Tsingy. Overnight at hotel Relais d'Ankarana (high midrange) or at Chez Aurelien Hotel (low midrange)

Day 9: Ankarana - Diego

Morning walk in the park to see the beauty of the reserve's Tsingy and to spot many bird species, mouse lemurs hiding in the hole of the tree trunk, and reptiles. Drive back to Diego. Stay at Hotel Moramora (midrange) or at Grand hotel (top)

Day 10: Diego - Tana

Take an afternoon flight to the capital (Tana), and fly home
