ORTOUR Travel Company does not provide insurance unless the clients need it but it has to be contracted ahead of time before departure. Clients are favourably asked to make sure that they have travel insurance before leaving their own country; however, contract could be arranged before hand.

CURRENCY

The monetary unit used in Madagascar is ‘Ariary'.

Note that you might be in trouble when using the Master Card because sometimes it does not work properly; thus, we would recommend you to bringing more than expected amount of money (cash). If you want to use Credit Card, Visa is very useful but only limited to 300 euro per day in regard to using the ATM Card. Also, for euro cash, you are highly recommended to bringing big denomination "100- 200- 500 bank notes".
