Tana to Diego by road plus Nosy Be - Ankarana - Amber mountain - Ankify - Madagascar - for 11 days
Day 1: Tana
Upon arrival into the capital city of Madagascar, known as Tana, clear customs and meet Ortour representative for transfer to Aina Hotel for overnight (midrange) hotel Palissandre (top).
Day 2: Tana - Ampijoroa
It takes the whole day driving to Ankarafantsika. Start the visit at Ankarafantsika National Park and Ampijoroa reserve. Ankarafantsika National Park is home to eight lemur species, including Coquerel‘s Sifaka and the recently discovered Microcebus Ravelobensis, Brown lemurs, fat - tailed dwarf lemurs and Sportive, Woolly, Grey mouse. Ampijoroa Reserve is known for its breeding centre: flat-tailed tortoise and very rare ploughshare tortoise. There are 192 species of birds in the area. Stay in a Bungalow (high midrange)
Day 3: Ampijoroa
In the morning, walk to the main heart of the Park to see lemurs, birds, reptiles, and so on. Back to the Bungalow for overnight
Day 4: Ampijoroa - Ambanja
Leave the national park of Ampijoroa early in the morning and continue driving to Ambanja on the north part of Antsohihy. Overnight at Hotel Le Méridien (midrange), hotel Baobab (top)
Day 5: Ambanja - Ankarana
This morning, we leave just after breakfast and drive to Ankarana reserve; it is famous for its splendid view of the limestone pinnacles known as the Tsingy. Overnight at the Hotel Relais d'Ankarana (high midrange), or at Aurélien (low midrange)
Day 6: Ankarana - Diego
Morning visit in the park to spot the wildlife in the area. And then, continue driving to Diego and overnight at Hotel Moramora (midrange) or Grand hotel (top).
Day 7: Diego - Montagne d'Ambre
Morning drive to the northern tip of Montagne d'Ambre national park. Mild walk in the forest to see beautiful orchids, birds, lemurs, invertebrates, reptiles including the tiniest chameleon known as the Brookesia minima. Overnight at the Monastère (midrange)
Note that for the luxury option, drive back to Diégo at Grand hotel (top)
Day 8: Diego - Ankify
Leave Diego and drive to Ankify. Ankify is where the ocean meets the Hotel and enjoy a good view of the closest small isles around. Overnight at Hotel Baobab
Day 9: Ankify - Nosy be
At 9 am, depart on a fast motor boat to join Nosybe which takes only forty five minutes ride. Stay at Domaine du Mangabe or Nosybe hotel (top)
Day 10: Nosy be - Nosy Tanikely
The marine reserve of Nosy Tanikely has a broad sandy beach for snorkeling activities that most people love to see the clear water; you can see an amazing variety of marine life, coral, starfish and anemones; very colored fish shape, turtles, and lobsters. Ride back to Nosy be for overnight at Domaine du Mangabe (high midrange) or at Nosybe hotel (top)
Day 11: Nosy be - Tana
After lunch, take an afternoon flight to get to Tana and fly home.
